Earnings Disclosure

Last updated: April 17, 2026

AI Understanding is a nonprofit education platform. We share this disclosure so readers understand exactly how the site is funded and how that relates to our editorial work.

How We Make Money

We currently fund operations through four primary channels:

  • Donations that support free public AI education.
  • A one-time certificate fee for learners who pass the required quiz threshold and choose to claim certification.
  • Paid AI tool submissions that go through editorial review before any listing is published.
  • Affiliate commissions on selected tool cards and links. Not every tool card is an affiliate relationship.

Editorial Independence

Revenue does not buy rankings or guarantee positive coverage. We evaluate tools, guides, and comparisons using the same editorial standards regardless of partnership status.

Affiliate Links

Some outbound links may generate a commission if a reader signs up or purchases. This does not increase the price you pay. We aim to identify useful tools first, then disclose when a commercial relationship may exist.

Refund and Reversal Effects

In some cases, commissions or payments can be reversed (for example, cancellations, chargebacks, or refunds). That does not change our editorial standards or disclosure obligations.

Our Commitment to Readers

We are committed to transparency, plain language, and public trust. If you see anything unclear in our funding disclosures, please contact us and we will clarify it.
